İzmir Metropolitan Municipality (İZELMAN - İZENERJİ)

Workers of İZELMAN and İZENERJİ, subsidiaries of Izmir Metropolitan Municipality, started a wildcat strike on January 7, 2025 due to unpaid wages. Thousands of municipal workers gathered in Basmane in the morning and marched to the presidential office of Izmir Metropolitan Municipality Mayor Cemil Tugay.

The strike, which lasted for two days, ended on January 8 with the announcement that all of the workers' missing wages will be paid untill Friday.
