Workers at Digel Tesktil, a German men's clothing company operating in the Aegean Free Zone in Gaziemir, Izmir, started a wildcat strike on January 17, 2025, finding the employer's wage increase low. Following the strike, the workers became members of TEKSIF, affiliated to Türk-İş, and the union, which achieved a majority in the factory, applied for authorization to the Ministry of Labor and Social Security. After the union applied for authorization, the workers ended the strike and went back to work on the same day. However, 4 workers were dismissed after the strike.
