Gaziemir Municipality

In Gaziemir Municipality, Izmir, workers staged a one-day wildcat strike on January 17, 2025, after Tüm Bel-Sen union and the municipality failed to reach an agreement during the Collective Bargaining Agreement (CBA) process. In a press statement, the municipality employees stated that they wanted to sign a CBA at the average level of Izmir and that the mayor imposed a lower raise, citing the financial crisis in the municipalities.
